The town is famous for the Great Western Railway works, which has today been brought alive at the award-winning museum STEAM – Museum of the Great Western Railway. Swindon is also enriched with Victorian parks and gardens, areas of extended woodlands, museums and galleries and surrounded by beautiful countryside.

For lovers of music and spectacle the Swindon area is definitely the place for you. Choose your festival; Old Town Festival, Devizes Festival, or WOMAD, and many more.
